I’m a photographer, husband and dad from the Czech Republic. I’ve had cameras around me for a big part of my life, but what still interests me most are people and the things that cannot be repeated.
Why I photograph weddings
First I tried writing them, then came moving images and photography. Eventually I realised I was most interested in the stories that were already happening in front of me.
That is why I care about more than a handful of polished portraits. A wedding is also the nerves before the ceremony, your parents’ reactions, conversations around the tables and the part of the evening when nobody notices the camera anymore.

How my photographs look
Film and analogue photography are an important reference for me. I keep colour slightly restrained, skin tones honest and work with the light that is really there rather than piling on effects. I am not interested in chasing every photographic or Instagram trend. I want the photographs to still feel right to you in ten or twenty years.
